Sterling silver necklace features a Victorian Art Nouveau-style dancing fairy accented with a real faceted iolite semi-precious stone drop and faceted Czech glass. Chain is 20 inches long, with lobster claw clasp. Dancing fairy pendant is 1-34 inches long from the top of her wings to the bottom of the iolite drop. The unique properties of iolite (changing colors depending on the angle of the sun) made it useful to the Vikings in navigating their ships. In stone lore, iolite is said to aid intuition.

Two of my personal favorites, hearts and spirals, combine in this Peter Stone fine sterling silver pendant. I’ve added it to a strand of gray stone beads. Clasp, spacers and extension chain are all sterling silver. Nickel-free. Adjustable between 17-18 inches long. Heart is 1-inch across. Necklace is strung on linen thread. Sterling silver earrings feature freshwater pearls and faceted stones. I was told that the stones were labradorite, but I think they look more like andalusite to me (both can look a little iridescent, but the labradorite tends to be more gray/blue, and andalusite green/brown, from what I’ve seen). Measure 3/4-inch long (not including the earwires). Designed and handmade in my studio. Original, handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry; only one pair available. Gift boxed.

For some reason, the photograph makes the stones look very brown. They are actually almost green, and more translucent, when the light hits them. According to stone lore, labradorite reveals our spiritual destiny, psychic abilities, and wisdom of the universe.

I just love the rusty brown and sky blue of the turquoise, and the bronze sheen of the freshwater pearls, I think they make a wonderful combination.
