Moss agate does not actually contain moss, it just looks like it does. Agates are a diverse group of mineral gemstones which include carnelian, blue lace, fire agate and picture agate, just to name a few. In gem lore, moss agate is said to help with balance, stability and healing.

Here is a cute little Hill Tribe Silver strawberry on pink, hand-dyed silk fabric ribbon, with sterling silver ends and clasp. Measures between 17 and 18 inches long (size is approximate because the pink fabric does stretch a little, and might “relax” over time). Strawberry measures 3/4-inch long from top of loop to bottom of point. Extra large closeup picture shown below. This is a one-of-a-kind item, only one available. Hill Tribe Silver is made by the Karen Hill Tribe in northern Thailand using traditional tribal methods passed down from generation to generation, and has a higher silver content than sterling (which is only 92.5% silver), so it is more resistant to tarnish.

In that tradition, these earrings feature Celtic style knotwork embellished with real peridot and labradorite faceted stone drops. All metal is sterling silver. I was told that the stones were labradorite, but I think they look more like andalusite to me (both can look a little iridescent, but the labradorite tends to be more gray/blue, and andalusite green/brown, from what I’ve seen). For some reason, the photograph makes the stones look very brown. They are actually almost green, and more translucent, when the light hits them. According to stone lore, labradorite reveals our spiritual destiny, psychic abilities, and wisdom of the universe.

This is a calcite stone pendant with sterling silver bail, on a cord of 18-inch twisted sage green silk. Calcite stone measures 1-1/4 inches high, and is “rough faceted,” which means that it’s been cut and polished to have facets sort of like a gem, but the facets are large and not in any particular pattern.
