This pendant was made using a small glass vial, which I filled with old watch parts and Ice Resin, and topped with a brass pocket watch gear. Hung on a double strand of bar & link chain, and is adjustable between 16 and 17 inches long. Vial is 7/8-inch high, entire pendant is not quite 1-1/2 inches from base of bottle to top of bail (image is enlarged to show details). The centerpiece of this necklace is a pendant inspired by the time machine key in “Time After Time (1979),” which is one of my favorite movies. My “key” measures just over 2 inches long (image is enlarged to show detail), and was made using a little piece of brass hardware I found in an antique shop, and a faceted crystal clear Czech glass bead. I have no idea how old this button is or where it originally came from, but I JUST LOVE the combination of silver star, brass edges, shimmery purple surface and lovely aged patina. Button is just under 5/8-inch across, and set in a brass bead cap. Ring is a size 7.5, made with gunmetal-finish wire (however, “gunmetal finish” usually means that the metal is much more black; this wire is more of a bronze color, to my eyes).
