A warning… or a suggestion? “Peccatum” is the Latin word for “sin.” * This miniature from a medieval painting depicts Adam, Eve, the apple and the serpent. I’ve been collecting images for years (I use only found ephemera, never printed off of the computer) and I don’t remember where I got this one, or who is the artist, but it probably came from an old National Geographic magazine or an old art history textbook.

The pendant was created with a brass bezel, and the image set under Ice Resin. Measures 1-1/8 inches across (picture above is enlarged to show details), hangs on a dark brown suede leather cord adjustable between 18-20 inches long by hooking the lobster claw clasp on any link of the extension chain. Czech glass embellishment. Designed and handmade in my private studio. This is an original work of jewelry art, only one available, the item in the picture is exactly the item you will receive. Please note that monitors vary, and the color may be slightly different in person. Gift boxed.

* “Peccatum” is also a Norwegian metal band, but that is just a coincidence.

This piece is a combination of stones, ceramic, resin, vintage and new brass chain, history, and romance. The necklace features ceramic beads, carved smoky quartz and other stones, and is adjustable between 18-20 inches long. The pendant is 1-1/2 inches long (image is enlarged below to show details). This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind (OOAK) item, created in my private studio. Gift boxed. Monitors vary, so color may be slightly different in person.

The centerpiece is not one but a collection of pendants, including one ceramic piece by North Carolina artist Elaine Ray, a copper heart charm, and a brass bezel in which I set a found image under Ice Resin. The image is from an old Pre-Raphaelite wall calendar, so it was cut out and reused, not printed out of my computer. The face is a detail from Evelyn De Morgan’s painting “Port After Stormy Seas” (1905).
