Gnome Terrarium

February 1st, 2010 by Jen

$8.00 - Item#GNOMEHOME

Gnome Terrariums are wonderful, self-contained, magical environments. Your Gnome Terrarium has just the right balance of fairy dust, moss, and stone to maintain a single North American Diminutive Wildwood Gnome. No watering nor feeding is required, just an occasional cotton swabbing if the fairy dust gets out of control. Simply remove the cork during each full moon, and your Gnome will conduct its necessary business and return by morning.

IMPORTANT: Without magic, they will not thrive. You must whisper a wish to your Gnome at least once a week. Keeping your Gnome Terrarium near stones, plants, ceramic unicorns, pewter wizards, and any other magical items or creatures also helps to maintain the health of your Gnome. ALL GNOMES ARE WILLING PARTICIPANTS IN THE GNOME TERRARIUM, AND NO GNOMES ARE HARMED WHILE MAKING THIS PRODUCT. Join the Gnome Terrarium project and help preserve the Gnome population as its imaginary habitat dwindles.

Each Gnome Terrarium is handmade and unique. Stones, moss, fairy dust and gnomes will vary from the one shown here. Each Gnome Terrarium measures just two inches high (not including cork, image enlarged to show details) and comes in a dark green drawstring pouch, along with an instruction sheet. Please note, this is not a jewelry item. It does not come on a cord or chain.

Bulk and wholesale orders are possible for this item. Contact me for additional information. To the best of my knowledge, I am the inventor of this item. I came up with the idea on my own, and have been making them and selling them since November 2008. Please let me know if you find others making this item, as it is copyrighted to me.

The unique properties of iolite (changing colors depending on the angle of the sun) made it useful to the Vikings in navigating their ships. In stone lore, iolite is said to aid intuition.

Smoky Quartz Heart & Celtic Knot Necklace

jlh-129-celticheart.jpg

$16.00 - Item#N129CELT

Real smoky quartz stone heart hangs from a pewter triquetra Celtic Knot bail, on 18-inches of black leather cord finished with a lobster claw clasp. I’ve read that smoky quartz is supposed to help heal a broken heart. I think beautiful jewelry certainly helps lift the spirits, regardless of whether you believe in stone lore or not.

This is a handmade original piece of adornment art and there is only one available. Gift boxed. Please note: Monitors vary, so colors may not be exactly the same in person.

SALE Celtic Knot Ceramic Vial

August 24th, 2009 by Jen

jlh-709-celticvial.jpg

$10.00 each - Item#C709VIAL

Ceramic vial covered with a Celtic knot design, embellished with lead-free Celtic knot beads made in the USA. Raku-style, multicolored glaze. Ceramic vial measures 1-1/2 inches across (image enlarged to show details). Comes on 28 inches of black cord, no clasp (will slide over most heads). This is not an item I made myself, I just thought they were cool and wanted to sell some. I added the cord and the pewter knot beads. Not food-safe. Add your own fairy dust, herbs, tiny stone chips, small paper messages, tears, perfume, or whatever treasures you wish. These work well as diffusers, just add a few drops of perfume, which will slowly evaporate through porous cork. Please note that the cork is not a perfect seal, and if you fill it too full, it may seep or leak. Number available: 4.

Free first class shipping & handling in the US and CANADA! Click here for more information.

COLORS VARY. Due to variations in the glaze, some are blue, blue-green, streaked, and/or have hints of pink or metallic. If you have a preference, please add a note when checking out.

I also have a celestial version. However, it does not come on cord or with beads, so it is only $6.00 each. There are 6 available. If you are interested in the SUN & MOON VIAL, please use this purchase button:

$15.00 - Item#E128AE

Copper has been used by humans for 10,000 years. Spiral motifs embellish the 5,000-year-old monument of Newgrange, in Ireland, possibly ancient symbols of renewal, the cycles of nature, or the turning of the heavens. These earrings combine these relics of our history, featuring glass spiral beads, copper wire coils, and non-nickel leverback earwires. Measure 1-3/4 inches long, not including earwires in that measurement (images enlarged to show details). One-of-a-kind (OOAK) item, only one pair available. Gift boxed.

Celtic Crescent Moon Knot original design by Jen

March 5th, 2009 by Jen

knot-crescent_sm.jpg

This is my own original Celtic Crescent Moon Knot design. I’ve been selling it on shirts, mousepads, mugs and more through Cafe Press for the past few years (click on the image above to go directly to Cafe Press).

In that time, I’ve also had a few people ask if they could use it as a tattoo design. Nate recently sent me a pic of his finished tattoo. It looks awesome! I love it. (Redheads with freckles are nice, too! Cheers, Nate!)
