This is a real letter “I” Scrabble tile, made into an altered art charm. On one side, I added a magazine cutout image of Morena Baccarin as Inara Serra from Joss Whedon’s cult TV show FIREFLY, (NOT a computer printout, I only use found/recycled images) and coated it with Ice Resin (that’s what’s causing the glossy glint on the photo). You can see the reverse side, with the letter “I” below. It’s hung on a strand of kimono fabric from Japan. Necklace is adjustable between 17 and 18 inches long with a clasp and extension chain. Charm is 5/8 inch across. Gift boxed.

One-of-a-kind (OOAK) item, only one available. With this item, I don’t know when I will ever find another recycled image or “I” tile, and have no plans to make another any time soon, so get it while you can.

Brass pistol and Chinese coin charms capture the spirit of FIREFLY fans everywhere! These are my first Browncoat earring design, of which I recently made 60 pairs and donated them to the Can’t Stop the Serenity global charity event to raise money for Equality Now. (I will also be donating some extra goodies to my local screening in Raleigh, NC.) I ended up with a few extra pairs, and still have two of them available for sale.

These earrings measure about 1-3/8 inches long, not including brass leverback earwires. Image enlarged to show detail. Each is handmade in my private studio, and designs on coins may vary. These earrings were inspired by the character Kaylee in the cult sci-fi Joss Whedon TV show FIREFLY. They feature “foofaraw pink” glass flower beads, and brass heart-shaped charms with the Chinese characters for “Double Happiness,” which Kaylee is seen wearing in the final scenes of the movie SERENITY. They measure 1-3/8 inches long (not including the leverback earwires). Designed and handmade in my studio. Gift boxed.

These are one of the few items on my website which are not one-of-a-kind — I have sold several pairs, and will continue to make them as long as I can find the beads and charms.

This necklace features a carved nephrite Buddha head, hung on a strand of unakite stones. Adjustable around 18 inches long. Pendant is 1-1/4 inches high. One-of-a-kind (OOAK) item, designed and handmade in my studio, only one available. Gift boxed.

Nephrite is often referred to as “nephrite jade” or just “jade,” because it occurs in similar colors and properties as jade. However, real jade has a different chemical composition than nephrite. Unakite is actually a mixture of three types of minerals: feldspar, epidote and quartz. Both nephrite and unakite are ascribed with an amazing array of special “powers,” including balancing, healing, releasing negative emotions, inspiring dreams, helping pregnancy, boosting your garden, and bringing good forture.
