SOLD Time Machine Key II
May 2010
The centerpiece of this necklace was inspired by the time machine key in “Time After Time” (1979), which is one of my favorite movies. I made a previous version of this necklace, which featured a clear faceted crystal at the tip — just like the one in the movie. This time, I’ve used a faceted Czech glass drop with brass finish, and wound a wire “spring” around the length. My “key” measures 2-3/8 inches long (image is enlarged to show detail), and was made using a little piece of brass hardware I found in an antique shop, I believe it’s the key for turning on and off a lamp, or winding something. The chain is new brass and is adjustable between 17 and 18-1/2 inches long. This is a one-of-a-kind (OOAK) item, created in my private studio. Gift boxed. Monitors vary, so color may be slightly different in person.
