$18.00 - Item#B609AKUABA

This pewter charm depicts an akuaba, which is a ritual fertility doll of the Ashanti people in Africa. Traditionally, these dolls are carried by women hoping to conceive a child, or hoping to ensure the health of child they are already carrying. They have also come to be associated with good luck, in general. This bracelet was made with the akuaba charm, glass, wood, stone and bone beads. One-of-a-kind (OOAK) original handmade bracelet, only one available. Bracelet measures 8 inches long, but fits a 7-1/4 to 7-1/2 inch wrist (see the FAQ page for more info about how bracelets fit). Akuaba charm is 1-inch long. The picture shows exactly what you will receive. Monitors vary, so the color may not look exactly the same in person. Gift boxed.
