My first foray into the realm of steampunk rings, this piece features a 17-jewel wrist watch mechanism mounted on an adjustable brass base, accented with art nouveau filigree. A few of the gears do turn (the winding wheel and crown wheel) when the knob is wound, however it is not a working mechanism and does not tick nor operate in any other way. Measures 3/4-inch across (image is enlarged to show detail). The filigree and clockwork are not welded to the ring base, they are cemented with E6000, which is quite secure but not indestructible. Envisioned and constructed in my private studio, this item is one of a kind (OOAK) and has been sold.
